A defiant, Alt-Metal, aggressive progressive indie rock battle hymn about two longtime songwriting partners overcoming age, disappointment and long odds to take one last ride in the music game. Outlaw’s (Mark Fahad: Bones Brothers, Code 13) southern rock guitars swirl with Kendall Scott’s (Nektar, Red Bank Blues Band) orchestral Hammond B3 as they fire away beneath Cobra’s (Darren Johnson : Moroccan Sheepherders) wailing vocals with the smooth haunting harmonies of Pat Murphy (Moroccan Sheepherders, Legion of Prog). Scott Burton’s (Moroccan Sheepherders, City Asylum, Damage Done) booming bass crests over the trip-hammer kick drums of Vic Montanaro (Cheshire Grin, Dmanzland) driving the five-ticket ride.

“Three Alarm Fire...featuring classically witty rock word play..” - Marc S. Porter
— Home News Tribune
“...a heavy band that describe their sound as "suburban apocalypse blues..." ...place a strong emphasis on songwriting, taking all their influences and blending them together. Their four song demo, with all songs written and arranged by the band includes the melodic "You Were There," and the boogie-woogie, Grand Funkish dirge, "Three Alarm Fire." It's neither country, rock nor gospel; it is hea-vy...."” - S.H.

(Review of Ride or Die) “Musically, the guitars are vibrant and aggressive, with riffs tha underpin the song's progressive character, while the bass and drums are powerful and solid, the kind you feel in your chest. Furthermore the Hammond organ arrangements add an almost gospel-likie vibe that gives it an unespected nuance and heightens the emotional intesity. Vocally, the perfomance is melodic, with bright tones and plenty of energy. There are rises, pauses and bursts that keep the listener engaged throughout.”

Bio
OMEGA TRAIN (formerly known as Last Train Out) is an independent alt-rock band recently revived by its founders; lead singer Cobra (Darren Johnson) and lead guitarist The Outlaw (Mark Fahad) to continue a music journey that originated in Central NJ circa 1990. Their signature is hook-driven, genre-blending ballads and anthems that play to the emotions of the listener. It's a gospel-raised mad-teddy bear poet waxing rhapsodic over whiskey infused southern rock guitar riffs, pulsing bass & thunderous percussion.
Their first album, Three Alarm Fire (2003) was released on their own imprint, Last Train Out Entertainment LLC. New material is slated to be released in 2023 with their EP "You Were There."

BEST AMERICANA PERFORMANCE BEST AMERICAN ROOTS SONG
A stirring, whimsical Americana ballad about a girl and the horse who filled her life with joy. Featured on vocals is the chart-topping Josie Award Winning artist Lisa Coppola, who blends her heartfelt, country-flavored octaves with Darren Johnson's (Cobra) soulful baritone. Mark Fahad (Outlaw) lead & rhythm guitarwork strum majestically, carried by the galloping cadence of drummer Vic Montanaro and classic walking bass lines of John MacDonald. Banjo accents by Scott Burton complete the saga.
In a time where the world is climbing out from a dark and anxious year, OMEGA TRAIN rolls back onto the scene with a floor-shaking, spine-tingling, alt-folk celebration of rebirth and revival in a cool little town called Red Bank, NJ. The stentorian baritone of Cobra testifies from the pulpit of southern acoustic blues guitar built by the Outlaw. The epic house-rocking stomps are amplified by the hypnotic banjo of Scott Burton, the down-home harmonica wails of Pat Murphy, and Rich Kelly’s rustic percussion alongside harmonious backing vocals setting the table for Laura Catalina Johnson’s soulful call and responses (Burton, Murphy, Kelly & Johnson are all bandmates of Cobra in the Moroccan Sheepherders.) Let go. Exhale. Dance like you just won money & Stomp the Blues Away!
