In a time where the world is climbing out from a dark and anxious year, OMEGA TRAIN rolls back onto the scene with a floor-shaking, spine-tingling, alt-folk celebration of rebirth and revival in a cool little town called Red Bank, NJ. The stentorian baritone of Cobra testifies from the pulpit of southern acoustic blues guitar built by the Outlaw. The epic house-rocking stomps are amplified by the hypnotic banjo of Scott Burton, the down-home harmonica wails of Pat Murphy, and Rich Kelly’s rustic percussion alongside harmonious backing vocals setting the table for Laura Catalina Johnson’s soulful call and responses (Burton, Murphy, Kelly & Johnson are all bandmates of Cobra in the Moroccan Sheepherders.) Let go. Exhale. Dance like you just won money & Stomp the Blues Away!
Stomp The Blues Away
Lyrics
Stomp The Blues Away
by Darren Johnson & Mark Fahad
My pain don’t hurt me anymore. My pain don’t hurt me anymore.
When I take my body down to old Red Bank’s downtown
My pain don’t hurt me anymore.
My ghosts don’t haunt my anymore. Hmmm. My ghosts don’t haunt me anymore. Whoa.
I get on my knees to pray, those bad spirits just fly away Yeah
My ghosts don’t haunt me anymore
Death don’t scare me anymore. I said death don’t scare me anymore. No No No
Led a good life I won’t lie, Lord I ain’t afraid to die Death don’t scare me anymore
Children stomp your blues away. I said children stomp your blues away
Changing hearts with love and song gather round sing along
Children stomp your blues away
I said Children stomp your blues away
One more children stomp your blues away
BIO
Erupting from the heart of the Garden State comes OMEGA TRAIN; an indie rock band of power, passion and palpable emotion. Their sound? They call it “Suburban Apocalypse Blues.” It’s like KISS fighting Lynyrd Skynyrd at Little Richard’s barbecue. A mad teddy bear poet wailing angst and irony over a southern-fried gunslinger’s guitar riffs, infused with walking bass lines and body punch percussion.
Formed in 1990, the band formerly known as “Last Train Out,” this genre blending group played the NJ/NY gig circuit and released the album “Three Alarm Fire” (2003). Cobra (Lead Singer) & The Outlaw (Lead Guitar) now ride again, with new and previously unreleased material—more hook driven song craft for the 21st Century. Call it “hard folk” or “southern rock gospel,” OMEGA TRAIN’s destination is straight to the heart of the listener. So get on board. Throw the “O” and…
LET THE TRAIN ROLL ON.

"..it is a more than enjoyable listen bolstered by some crisply delivered lead vocals that sit with a raw intimacy amidst the rolling guitar/banjo melody lines, imaginative yet introspective lyricism, thumping percussive backbone pulse, tight backing vox atmospherics, a ruminating arrangement and a clean mix/master! Props are due!"
